Description
Echinodorus Tenellus, also known as Helanthium Tenellus, is a grassy foreground plant that looks like a cross between Micro Swords and Dwarf Hair Grass. This plant spreads and forms a carpet by sending runners horizontally from its roots.
Although high light and CO₂ injection are not essential to grow Echinodorus Tenellus, they are strongly suggested for faster and more complete growth. To plant, simply cut larger mats into small pieces and place each half into the substrate, an inch or so apart. Trimming will be required regularly once the plant has established itself. Echinodorus Tenellus is the common name for this plant.
Care Tips
- Larger mats should be divided into small sections and planted one inch or so apart midway into the substrate.
- CO₂ is strongly recommended for faster and more complete growth.
